Misbah Tandoori
in Monmouth. A Bangladeshi restaurant listed in the Good Curry Guide as the best in Wales.
Red Lion, Westbury
a traditional pub with traditional pub food. But that belittles it! The range of food is enormous and includes a fish menu, a vegetarian menu and a children.s menu. When we went there for lunch we ordered stake and kidney pie. We sat down and the barman came to us and said, sorry, there's no stake and kidney. Would you like a game pie instead? We would. And after a short wait, indeed we did: very tasty and properly not-over-cooked veg to go with it. It is hard to fault their value for money - highly reconmmended.
Does Nepalese/Tibet style food. It has excellent reviews. They also do take away. It's about 4 miles from the cottage at the junction of the A4151 from Cinderford with the A4136 Mitcheldean-Coleford road.
